The Lion King Newark Theatre reviews
Great performance, disappointing venue
The single star is for the venue, and in no way reflects what seemed to be amazing performances. We were near the front of the upper loge and had a hard time seeing because the loge section is so far from the stage and had a hard time hearing becasue the volume was not loud enough.
The worst part was the collection of inconsiderate theater goers in our section. We left at intermission because the adults and children next to us, in front of us, and behind us were talking out loud throughout the entire performance. People in front of us leaned in a way that my husband could not see, versus sitting back in their chairs. I spoke with an usher who told me ushers were not allowed to go inside. I will not return to this venue.
